On Wednesday afternoons Mrs Decodts visits the P5 pupils to deliver the Roots of Empathy programme, and every third week the real teacher, Baby Emily, visits.
This week Baby Emily was able to demonstrate her ability to role right over, much to the surprise and delight of the P5 girls!
Queens Medics on Schools
On Tuesday afternoons, P6 have welcomed Katie, a medical student from Queen's University University, into their classroom. She taught them all about the human body, and they learnt lots of new medical language associated with the body. As this week was Katie's last the P6 pupils all wrote her a thank-you letter telling her what they have learnt from her. This is a great programme which we get involved with every year.
An Author's visit
We were delighted to welcome Ed Wicke, a published author into school this week. He delighted all the children telling some of his stories and everyone laugh out loud. He explain the importance of reading and how we can get so much pleasure from it. Hopefully he has also inspired some future authors.
